Getting Your Team On Board, Without the Dead Ends

A few updates to how people join your organisation on PewPlan — easier for new members to find and join your church, an easy fix when someone's turned away by mistake, and more dependable invite emails behind the scenes.

Most of the friction in getting started with PewPlan isn't building a programme — it's getting the right people into the right organisation. This round of updates is all about that: helping your team find you, join you, and hear back from you without anything falling through the cracks.

Find your church and ask to join

New members no longer need an invite link to get going. Sign in with Google, and if you're not part of an organisation yet, PewPlan now helps you find one straight away.

Search for your church by name, and request to join. An owner gets notified and can approve you with a tap — and you're in, ready to help build the week's service.

Can't find your church because nobody's set it up yet? Create it right there. PewPlan gently checks for a close match first — same name, same postcode — so two people from the same congregation don't accidentally end up with two separate organisations.

It's a much smoother first few minutes for anyone joining your team.

Changed your mind? Reinstate a request

Approving and declining join requests is quick — which means it's also easy to tap the wrong one on a busy Sabbath morning.

Now, if a request was declined by mistake, organisation owner can simply reinstate it. Open your organisation's onboarding screen, and any declined request has a Reinstate button that adds the person straight away — no need to ask them to start over.

And from the other side: if you were turned away, you can just ask again. A declined request no longer leaves you stuck — request access a second time and the owners are notified afresh.

Fewer dead ends, less back-and-forth.

Quietly more reliable

Behind the scenes, we've reworked how PewPlan sends its notifications — invitations, access requests, and billing reminders.

Every message is now recorded the moment it's created and delivered dependably, even if something briefly hiccups along the way. In practice you shouldn't notice a thing — which is exactly the point. The email that says "someone wants to join your church" should always arrive.

None of this changes your programmes, your team, or your share links — they're all exactly where you left them. It just makes bringing new people on board a little kinder.
