We're Back — and Pro Is Now Free to Try for 30 Days
After a quiet few weeks over the break, PewPlan is back with a handful of updates — starting with a 30-day free trial of Pro, plus inline media from links and a few reliability fixes.
The summer break was quiet on the blog, but not behind the scenes. We've spent it tidying things up and building a few features we've wanted for a while. Here's what's new as we get back into the swing of the autumn term.
Try Pro free for 30 days
The big one: every organisation can now try PewPlan Pro free for 30 days.
No need to decide up front. Start the trial, use the full set of Pro features through a month of services, and see whether it earns its place in your Sabbath-morning routine. If it's not for you, cancel any time before the trial ends and you won't be charged — and we'll send a friendly reminder a few days before it does.
It's the easiest way yet to see what Pro adds without committing on day one.
Paste a link, see the media
Adding media just got simpler. Paste a link to an image, an audio file, or a video, and PewPlan now recognises what it is and shows it right there in the programme — a poster preview, an audio player, a video — instead of a plain link.
The original link is always kept too, so you can open or copy it whenever you need, and it carries through to your FreeShow export. (Inline previews from links are a Pro feature.)
A few things that now just work
- Scripture lookup is reliable again. Type a reference like
John 3:16and the verse fills in — we moved the lookup so ad-blockers and networks can't quietly break it. - Clearer uploads. If a file's too large, you now get a plain "file too large" message instead of a confusing prompt.
None of this changes how PewPlan works day to day — your programmes, your team, and your share links are all exactly where you left them.
